Last night, in their first exhibition game of the 2011-12 preseason, the Boston Bruins were downed 2-1 in overtime to Calgary. Heading back to Boston for their first game since winning the Stanley Cup, the coaching staff will likely want a fresh set of legs when they face the Islanders on Friday night.

Purely speculation after some research, here is a reasonable guess for tomorrow’s lineup in Boston.

After releasing six players from camp early yesterday afternoon, the Bruins have cut their roster to 27 forwards, 17 defensemen and four goaltenders.
