New York Islanders - Your #Isles40th favorite moments

I was six years old during the 1992-93 playoffs. Pierre Turgeon was my favorite player. It was game seven of the Pittsburgh Penguins series. My mom had just gone to sleep, and I was awake with my dad in our living room in Deer Park. I remember asking my dad, who was the Islanders PA announcer at the time, to not go crazy if the Islanders scored because mom was asleep, and I hated those loud and sudden reactions at the time because I was so young.
When David Volek's one-timer from Ray Ferraro went into the net, my father and I jumped up and whispered as loud and as excited as we could without freaking me out. We rejoiced if we had just won the cup. It was a truly amazing moment, and one I will never ever forget.
