Fortunately for the NHL, the Rideau Canal was open on Thursday for the activites they had planned.
But today, the canal is not open. It was posted on their website that once ice conditions are safe, the canal will reopen.
Personally, I am here to skate on the canal, and the All-Star Weekend just happens to also be going on at the same time. That of course is not true, but skating on the canal is an important part of what is to be accomplished in Ottawa, outside of getting coverage up on the site.
Do you tweeting and skating on thin ice is a safety hazard? If you hear about a woman from Long Island falling through the ice, well, I think you will know what happened.
Coverage will begin from Scotiabank Place hopefully at about 4 p.m. We will get as much of JT as we can as well as getting good stuff to post about the All-Star experience.
