2012 IIHF World Championship

Frans Nielsen led all Denmark forwards in icetime with 20:15 and unloaded four shots on goal, but could not solve Czech goalie Jakub Kovar as Denmark fell 2-0 in their first game of the IIHF World Championships Friday in Helsinki.

Ales Hemsky and Petr Tenkrat scored for the Czech Republic. Nielsen and Denmark return to action on Sunday, May 6 at 5:15 am EST against Italy.
