Thursday, 05.10.2012 / 12:38 PM
Despite losing an early 2-0 lead, five scorers contributed goals to give the U.S. a 5-3 win over Belarus. Justin Abdelkader had a goal and assist while Max Pacioretty had two assists.
Kyle Okposo did not add to his tournament point total (two goals, one assist), but did lead US forwards in icetime.
"We've got a lot of work to do," said Pacioretty after. "We haven’t really put together a full game like we want. Once we do, we’ll be a very powerful team. We need to find a way to play for 60 minutes, and we’ll find success."
The win vaults the U.S. into third place of Group A with a 2-1-0-1 (W-OTW-OTL-L) record for eight points.
