Strome back on track in Niagara
After a week on Long Island at Islanders Training Camp, center Ryan Strome picked up right where he left off with the Niagara IceDogs (Ontario Hockey League). Following his return, Strome notched three points (one goal, two assists) in two games. Strome’s 65 points in 34 games is good enough for fourth in the OHL, despite missing 12 games between training camp and the World Junior Championships. Strome has only played three games without finding the score sheet all season. With 22 games remaining, Strome is only three points shy of his total from last season.

Kichton continues to light it up
Brenden Kichton of the Spokane Chiefs (Western Hockey League) continued his torrid pace this season with another four points (one goal, three assists) in four games. The reigning WHL Western Conference Defenseman of the Year continues to lead both his team and all CHL defensemen in scoring. Spokane currently ranks fourth in the Western Conference and second in the U.S. division with 57 points (15 goals, 42 assists).

Pedan a force for the Storm
The Guelph Storm’s (Ontario Hockey League) Andrey Pedan has stepped up his offensive game over the past week by tallying four points (two goals, two assists) in his last three games. The Kaunas, LTU native’s three-game point streak has helped the Storm to a five-game winning streak. Pedan leads Guelph defensemen in scoring with 30 points (11 goals, 19 assists) in 39 games. The 6’4 blueliner is also second in the OHL with 104 penalty minutes.
