|Season series (2-0-0)
The Islanders look to close out the season series with a perfect record against Montreal for the first time since 1983-84. In the first meeting between the two squads this season on Feb 21, rookie defenseman Thomas Hickey scored his first career goal to give the Isles an overtime win. The Islanders then ended Montreal’s 11-game point streak with a 6-3 win at the Coliseum on Mar. 5. The Canadiens have not lost in regulation since.
