AMATEUR PROSPECTS:

Jesse Graham - Saginaw (OHL)

Former Niagara IceDogs captain Jesse Graham picked up two points this past weekend with his new squad, the Saginaw Spirit. Graham picked up an assist in Saginaw’s first two games over the weekend, but saw his four-game point streak snapped in their final contest of the weekend. The Toronto native now has seven assists in his first nine games with his new club.

PROFESSIONAL AFFILIATES

American Hockey League: Bridgeport Sound Tigers (10-13-1-3), 4th in Northeast Division, 13th in Eastern Conference)

The Bridgeport Sound Tigers began a three-game weekend with a 6-1 loss to the Albany Devils this past Friday in upstate New York. Mike Halmo’s 10th of the season put the Sound Tigers ahead in the first period, but Albany took control over the final 40 minutes. Andrers Nilsson won in his won his return to Bridgeport Saturday, as the Sound Tigers defeated the Providence Bruins 2-1. Nilsson made 26 saves, while Alan Quine and Mike Cornell tallied Bridgeport’s goals in the first period. The Sound Tigers wrapped up the weekend on Sunday with a 3-1 loss to the Manchester Monarchs. Sean Wiles notched the Sound Tigers’ lone goal with his first of the season.

ECHL: Stockton Thunder (13-8-0-3), 2nd in Pacific Division, 5th in Western Conference

Despite the return of defenseman Mike Dalhuisen, the Stockton Thunder fell 6-5 in a shootout to the rival San Francisco Bulls on Saturday. With less than two minutes remaining in the third period, Dalhuisen forced overtime with his fourth goal of the season to earn a point for Stockton. The following day, the Thunder rebounded with a 6-5 victory over the Bakersfield Condors. Andrew Clark’s five-point game (2g/3a) led the way as Stockton tallied the final two goals of the game to record the win.
