Reinhart, Pelech Advance, Rimouski To Play Game 7

Reinhart eliminates Pulock, Pelech advances to OHL conference finals, Rimouski in do-or-die game.

Western Hockey League:

(1) Edmonton Oil Kings vs. (7) Brandon Wheat Kings. Oil Kings win series 4-1

Griffin Reinhart and the Edmonton Oil Kings have advanced to their third straight WHL Eastern Conference Final, defeating Ryan Pulock and the Wheat Kings in five games. Reinhart, the Oil Kings captain and Isles fourth-overall pick in 2012, has six points (one goal, five assists) through nine games in the opening two rounds.

Ontario Hockey League:

(3) Erie Otters vs. (2) Sault Ste. Marie Greyhounds. Otters win series 4-0

Adam Pelech and the Erie Otters have advanced to the OHL’s Western Conference Finals by sweeping the Sault Ste. Marie Greyhounds in four games. After outscoring the Greyhounds 9-1 in the opening three games of the series, Pelech and the Otters needed overtime to dispose of Sault Ste. Marie in game four. Through nine playoff games, Pelech has totaled four points (two goals, two assists). The top-seeded Guelph Storm await Erie in the conference finals.

Quebec Major Junior Hockey League:

(4) Rimouski Oceanic vs. (5) Blainville-Boisbriand Armada. Series tied 3-3

Loic Leduc and Rimouski Oceanic are heading to a seventh and deciding game Tuesday night against the Blainville-Boisbriand Armada. Rimouski led the series 3-2, but lost 3-1 to the Armada Monday night. The home team held serve in each of the series’ first four games until the Oceanic took game five in overtime and the Armada won game six. Game seven will be held in Rimouski.
