ISLANDERS TRANSACTIONS: Selected by the Islanders in the fourth round (102nd overall) of the 2008 National Hockey League Draft. Signed an Entry- Level Contract on June 1, 2010.

LAST SEASON:  Split his first season in the Kontinental Hockey League between Yaroslavl Lokomotiv and Prague Lev, totaling 15 points (8g/7a) in 45 games... Transferred to Prague Lev, a KHL team in his native Sweden, on Nov. 20... Scored 11 points (5g/6a) in 27 regular season games with Prague and 5 points (4g/1a) in 10 playoff games.

CAREER: 2012-13: Scored five points (2g/3a) in 20 games during his second season with the Islanders... Started the season with the Bridgeport Sound Tigers of the American Hockey League, totaling 26 points (9g/17a) with a team-high plus-14 rating in 33 games... Following the NHL work stoppage, began the NHL season with the Islanders out of training camp... Had a four-game point streak (2g/2a) from Jan. 21-27... Loaned to Bridgeport on Mar. 11, but recalled from loan on Mar. 13 after just one game with the Sound Tigers... Suffered a groin injury Mar. 14 at Tampa Bay and was placed on IR... Removed from IR on Apr. 3 after missing 10 games and was loaned to Bridgeport... Recalled from Bridgeport on Apr. 18.  2011-12: Appeared in his first 29 career NHL games with the Islanders, scoring eight points (4g/4a) and collecting six penalty minutes... Also led the Bridgeport Sound Tigers in goals (24) during his second season in the American Hockey League, while playing in just 40 of the team’s 82 games... Added six assists in Bridgeport for 30 points with a plus-9 rating... Was recalled from Bridgeport on Nov. 20. At the time of the recall, he was tied for the AHL lead in goals (12) and led the team in points (14)... Made his NHL debut on Nov. 21 in Pittsburgh... Scored his first NHL point/assist on Nov. 29 at Buffalo... Scored his first NHL goal on Dec. 6 vs. Tampa Bay (M. Garon)... Suffered a concussion on Dec. 20 at Winnipeg in his 14th career NHL game and missed the next nine games on Injured Reserve, before returning to Bridgeport on Jan. 11... Recalled from Bridgeport on Feb. 25 and played in 15 games before being returned on Mar. 29... With Bridgeport, scored two points (1g/1a) in three playoff games.  2010-11: Scored 41 points (17g/24a) in 67 American Hockey League games with the Bridgeport Sound Tigers during his first season in North America... Finished fourth on the team in points and goals and ranked fifth on the team in assists…Scored eight power-play goals and two game-winning goals…Recorded his first point/assist on opening night, Oct. 9 vs. Worcester…Scored his first goal on Oct. 17 vs. Portland…Scored goals in three straight games from Oct. 17-29…Recorded his first hat trick on Feb. 20 vs. Manchester... Named AHL Rookie of the Week for the week ending on Feb. 20. 2009-10: Scored 16 points (5g/11a) in 47 games with Jonkoping during his first full season in the Swedish Elite League. 2008-09: Scored 16 points (9g/7a) in 15 games with Boras (Swe-1), and also spent time with Jonkoping of the Swedish Elite League, posting four points (1g/3a) in 19 games... Notched one goal in 14 playoff games with Jonkoping.  2007-08: Made his Swedish Elite League debut with Jonkoping, going scoreless in seven games... Spent most of the season with Jonkoping’s Swedish Junior League club... Led the team in goals (27), assists (27) and points (54) in 40 regular season games.

INTERNATIONAL: Represented Sweden at the 2009 World Junior Championships in Ottawa, scoring four points (2g/2a) with a plus-4 rating in six games.

NHL PLAYOFFS: 2013: Made his Stanley Cup Playoffs debut, recording one assist in three games of the Islanders’ Eastern Conference Quarterfinals against Pittsburgh.
