ISLANDERS TRANSACTIONS: Selected by the Islanders in the second round (31st overall) of the 2009 National Hockey League Draft. Loaned to KalPa of the SM-liiga (Finland) on November 15, 2011.

LAST SEASON: Played 41 games with Novosibirsk Sibir during his first season in the Kontinental Hockey League... Tied for fourth in the league in save percentage (.939) and ranked fifth in goals-against average (1.70)... Selected to play in the KHL All-Star Game... Played 10 playoff games, posting a 1.98 GAA and .928 SV%... Won a silver medal with Finland at the World Championshps, appearing in one game and serving as Pekka Rinne’s backup in nine games.

CAREER: 2012-13: Recorded a 21-15-13 record in 49 games with KalPa Kuopio of Finland’s SM-liiga... Posted a 2.05 GAA and a .919 SV%... Recorded seven shutouts... Added three assists and six penalty minutes...In the playoffs, posted a 2.04 GAA with one shutout in KalPa’s five-game first-round series loss to Assat.  2011-12: Began his third season in North America with the Bridgeport Sound Tigers of the American Hockey League, before being loaned to KalPa (SM-liiga) on Nov. 15 after four AHL games... Played in 25 games for KalPa, recording a 13-5-4 record with a 2.30 GAA and a .916 SV%... Posted five shutouts...Also appeared in six playoff games, going 3-2 with a 2.23 GAA and a .889 SV%.  2010-11: Led Bridgeport with 12 wins in 36 AHL appearances during his rookie season… Also played in his first four NHL games, posting a 2-1-0 record... With Bridgeport, made 30 saves on opening night on Oct. 9 vs. Worcester… Recalled by the Islanders on Feb. 5... Made his NHL debut on Feb. 8 vs. Toronto... Earned his first NHL win in his second career game on Feb. 10 at Montreal (SO)...Returned to Bridgeport on Feb. 14...Earned back-to-back wins on Feb. 20 vs. Manchester and on Feb. 23 vs. Providence… Made a career-high 46 saves in the regular season finale on Apr. 10 vs. Albany.  2009-10: Started his first season in North America with Bridgeport and played in two regular season games, going 1-1, before suffering an injury... Assigned to the Utah Grizzlies (East Coast Hockey League) on Mar. 19 for rehab and posted a 6-0 record with a 2.50 goals against average and a .924 save percentage in six contests... Returned to Bridgeport for the Sound Tigers’ playoff series against Hershey, and played in the final three games, starting the final two and going 1-1.  2008-09: Appeared in 33 games for the Espoo Blues (Finland) in his first full professional season and led the team to a semi-final berth in the Champions Hockey League, posting a 1.91 GAA, a .932 SV% and 17 wins... Also played in nine games with Espoo’s junior club, posting a 1.65 GAA and a .930 SV% with a pair of shutouts.

JUNIOR:  2007-08: In 20 games with the Espoo Blues (Finland Jr.), posted a 2.30 GAA with a .907 SV% and two shutouts... Made his professional debut with Espoo, notching a shutout in his only game.
