Signed by the Philadelphia Flyers as an undrafted free agent in 2011. Traded from Philadelphia to the Anaheim Ducks in exchange for Jay Rosehill on April 1, 2013.

LAST SEASON:
Appeared in 13 National Hockey League games during his first season with the Pittsburgh Penguins... Spent the majority of the season in the American Hockey League with Wilkes-Barre/Scranton, establishing career highs with 18 goals, 18 assists, 36 points in 57 games... Finished second on the team in goals and fifth in points... Made his Calder Cup Playoffs debut, scoring 10 points (3g/7a) in 17 games as Wilkes-Barre/Scranton advanced to the Eastern Conference Finals.

CAREER: 2012-13: Played seven NHL games with Philadelphia, but spent the majority of his second professional campaign in the AHL with Adirondack and the Norfolk Admirals... Was traded midseason from Philadelphia to the Anaheim Ducks... In 61 AHL Games, scored 19 points (11g/8a) with 68 penalty minutes.  2011-12: Appeared in a career-high 37 NHL games in his rookie season with Philadelphia, scoring six points (3g/3a) and 35 penalty minutes... Made his NHL debut and scored his first NHL goal on Oct. 18 at Ottawa (Craig Anderson)... Scored 21 pionts (8g/13a) in 39 AHL games with Adirondack.

COLLEGE: 2010-11: Named the Ivy League Player of the Year during senior season at Brown University (East Coast Athletic Conference)... Posted 31 points (16g/15a) and 128 penalty minutes in 30 games while serving as team captain...
