The Islanders have announced that goaltender Rick DiPietro had arthroscopic knee surgery to repair a meniscus injury. He will be out 4-6 weeks.The Islanders' All-Star has played seven seasons for the Islanders, recording 112 wins with a 2.79 goals-against average and .905 save percentage. He has started three games this season.
