The Islanders have re-signed forwards Rob Collins and Kevin Colley to one-year contracts.

Collins, 27, first signed with the Islanders as a free agent in July of 2003. The 5'10'' 186-pounder from Peterborough, Ontario has totaled 32 goals, 62 assists and 94 points in 153 games with the Sound Tigers.  Collins enjoyed a career season last year leading the Sound Tigers with 23 goals, 39 assists and 62 points in 78 games.  He also paced the Sound Tigers with two overtime tallies and tied for the team lead with five game-winners.  Collins spent the 2002-03 season and part of the previous campaign with the AHL's Grand Rapids Griffins after four solid years (1998-2002) at Ferris State University where he was in the running for the 2002 Hobey Baker Award, which is given to the nation's top collegiate player.

Colley, 26, signed with the Sound Tigers in July of 2003 and inked his first NHL contract last year.  Born just up the road from Bridgeport in New Haven, Conn. where his father Tom was an AHL legend, the 5'11'' 185-pounder has totaled 23 goals, 32 assists and 55 points while racking up 334 penalty minutes in 137 games with the Sound Tigers.  Colley was the most valuable player with a playoff-leading 13 goals in leading the Atlantic City Boardwalk Bullies to the 2002-03 ECHL Kelly Cup Championship.  He has played a total of six professional seasons (1999-2005) on the heels of three years of major junior with the Ontario Hockey League's Oshawa Generals, winning that league's playoff title in 1996-97
