STIRLING, PELLMAN HONORED BY BOY SCOUTS OF AMERICA
The Boy Scouts of America will honor Islanders head coach Steve Stirling and Islanders director of medical services Dr. Elliot Pellman on Monday, Nov. 21 at a dinner event to be held at the Chateau Briand in Carle Place.
The event is being held to benefit the Scouting program and to help Scouting reach out to more youth in Nassau County, especially the youth in at-risk areas. There is no question that the values and lessons learned in Scouting will help these youth have a brighter future!
"Dr. Pellman and Coach Stirling have been chosen as honorees because of their success in their chosen fields as well as their support and involvement in their communities," said Marc Ryan, director of field service for the Boy Scouts of America. "They are both very worthy recipients of our Community Service Award."

The evening will begin with a cocktail reception sponsored by the New York Islanders at 6:30 pm. A delicious dinner will follow during which Dr. Pellman and Coach Stirling will be presented with their awards and young Scouts will speak of the impact the program has had on their lives.
On behalf of the over 17,000 scouts in Nassau County, the Boy Scouts of America thank you for your support!
