Islanders forward Oleg Kvasha, after an evaluation this morning with team doctors, is listed as day-to-day with a sprained ankle. His status for tomorrow night's game against Philadelphia at Nassau Veterans Memorial Coliseum is undetermined. Kvasha suffered the injury during the first period of the Islanders' 4-2 win in Philadelphia on Saturday afternoon.
At practice this morning at Islanders Iceworks, defenseman Tomi Pettinen practiced as a forward. However, if Kvasha cannot play on Tuesday, there is a chance the Islanders will recall a forward from Bridgeport in time for the morning skate.
