Rockefeller Center will be transformed into the broadcast home of NHL hockey as NBC Sports launches its inaugural season Saturday, January 14th from Noon 2:00PM at 30 Rockefeller Plaza, between 49th & 50th Streets and 5th & 6th Avenues, Manhattan.
The Stanley Cup will be on display at the NBC Experience Store and Islander fans are invited to have their picture taken with hockey's "holy grail" (fans should bring their cameras!). Islander fans also can watch and serve as the backdrop for the debut of the "NHL on NBC" studio show, which will originate from ice level at the Rink at Rockefeller Center.
The transformation of Rockefeller Plaza will begin Friday night January 13th at Rockefeller Center as the flags surrounding the plaza are replaced with NHL flags and the "NHL on NBC" logo is imbedded in the ice surface.

INFO: The public is invited to bring their cameras and take photos with the Stanley Cup. A Hockey Hall of Fame historian and "Keeper of the Cup" will be on hand to field questions.
The NHL and NBC studio show will originate from the Ice Rink at Rockefeller Center for the first four weeks of NBC's NHL broadcast coverage.
NBC Sports will present six weeks of NHL regular-season action: Jan. 14, Jan. 21, Jan. 28, Feb. 4, April 8 and April 15; and provide coverage of the Conference Quarterfinals on April 22, 23, 29 and 30; the Conference Semifinals, May 6, 7, 13 and 14; the Conference Finals on May 20; and Games 3-7 of the Stanley Cup Final in primetime. One game each week plus the Stanley Cup Final will be presented in high definition.
Rockefeller Plaza is home to the Rink at 30 Rock and Top of the Rock, the newly-renovated observatory on the 70th Floor of 30 Rockefeller Plaza.
