SOUND TIGERS NOTEBOOK
On a roll, and now 4 games in 5 nights

WEEK IN REVIEW
Monday, January 16th vs. Norfolk, 4-3 L
  -  The Sound Tigers rallied from down 1-0 on a shorthanded goal by JEREMY COLLITON and 2-1 on an unassisted tally by MASI MARJAMAKI but couldn't come back from 4-2 despite a wraparound goal by DAVID MASSE.  The loss was the Sound Tigers' first in regulation at home since a 5-2 defeat at the hands of Norfolk on December 18th.

Friday, January 20th at Lowell, 2-1 W  -  SEAN BERGENHEIM helped draw a pair of penalties that negated two Lowell power plays and also scored mid-way through the first period, ROB COLLINS tallied the eventual game-winner on the advantage 24 seconds into the final frame and CODY RUDKOWSKY made 29 saves, including a highlight-reel stop of a shorthanded breakaway by all-star KEITH AUCOIN inside the final minute of play.  The Sound Tigers were 1 for 7 on the power play, 5 for 5 on the penalty kill and had a 46-30 shots on goal advantage en route to improving to a perfect 6-0 versus the Lock Monsters this season.

Saturday, January 21st at Wilkes-Barre/Scranton, 7-0 W  -  The Sound Tigers tied or set a number of single-game, franchise records in one of the best outings in team history.  MASI MARJAMAKI scored a pair of third-period, power-play goals and had two assists to tie the single-game mark for points with four, WYATT SMITH equaled the single-game assist mark with three helpers and the team tied the franchise mark for most goals in a game while setting a new Sound Tigers record for largest margin of victory in a 7-0 shutout of the AHL's top team.  It was the third straight win over league-leading Wilkes-Barre/Scranton for the Sound Tigers who have handed the Penguins three of their six regulation losses on the season.  ROB COLLINS tallied the eventual game-winner just 24 seconds into the contest and added an assist, MATT KOALSKA and SEAN BERGENHEIM also had a goal and an assist each, DAVID MASSE had a goal and two assists, JOEL BOUCHARD added a power-play marker and FREDERIC CLOUTIER made 27 saves for his second shootout of the season.  The Sound Tigers dominated the game from start to finish going 3 for 11 on the power play, 5 for 5 on the penalty kill and holding a 34-27 shots on goal advantage.
