New Haven Register article details development
The New York Islanders are all in agreement when they go over the scouting reports on center Robert Nilsson.
He's a front-line playmaker, a speedy skater with great vision on the ice. Vision so keen that Nilsson's teammates are often surprised when the puck comes into their path so fast and seemingly from nowhere.
The skills, according to Islanders general manager Mike Milbury, are "world class."
Yet, for the last two months, Nilsson has demonstrated those skills for the Bridgeport Sound Tigers, remaining in the American Hockey League rather than the NHL, where he started the season on the Islanders' first line.
