NHL DRAFT ORDER SET
Islanders will have 7 or 8 picks

The NHL announced Tuesday the order for the 2006 NHL Entry Draft to be held in Vancouver's General Motors Place on June 24th. The Islanders will select seventh overall and could receive up to eight selections.

The Isles have seven guaranteed selections and will gain an eighth, in the fifth round from the Phoenix Coyotes, if Oleg Kvasha re-signs with the Coyotes.

Along with the seventh overall pick and the pending pick in the fifth round, the Isles have one pick in the second round, a very valuable three in  the third, one in the fourth and one in the sixth.
