BCAST SKED ANNOUNCED
The official New York Islanders 2006-2007 telecast schedule was announced today. The seventy-eight game schedule includes a total of 73 games on FSN New York and five games on MSG.
The Islanders 2006-2007 schedule has a number of prominent match-ups including the regular season opener against the Phoenix Coyotes on October 5th. In addition, the Islanders welcome the defending NHL Champions, Carolina Hurricanes, on October 21st. Other highlights of the schedule include a visit to Madison Square Garden for the first of 8 games against the New York Rangers on December 3; and the first game against regional rival, the New Jersey Devils on November 2nd.
Howie Rose will handle the play-by-play duties with Billy Jaffe offering in-game analysis. The Islanders telecasts will be hosted once again by Deb Kaufman. MSG roving hockey analyst Stan Fischler will also appear throughout the season on select team telecasts.
MSG's commitment to the NHL is unprecedented as the Networks (MSG and FSN New York) will telecast more than 300 live Islanders, Rangers, Devils and Sabres games during the 2006-2007 hockey season.
New York Islanders hockey on MSG is directed by Larry Roth and produced by Kevin Meininger. The executive producer is Laurie Orlando.
