GAME PREVIEW
Islanders host Pittsburgh

(7:30 p.m. ET, TV: FSNY | Radio: Bloomberg 1130) Tonight the Islanders look for their third win in four games as they take on Sidney Crosby, Evgeni Malkin and the Pittsburgh Penguins. The Islanders have earned points in their last three games, going 2-0-1 in that stretch.

On Monday, the Islanders earned a point in their 2-1 shootout loss to Nashville. Mike Sillinger scored his 200th NHL-career goal while Mike Dunham stopped 32 of 33 shots.

Chris Simon assisted on Sillinger's goal raising his point total to five, tying him with Miroslav Satan for the team lead in points. Sillinger, meanwhile, continues to dominate in the faceoff department. He is currently tied for tenth in the NHL in faceoff winning percentage with a rate of 56.9%.

The Penguins come to town sporting a record of 2-3-0 and are one point behind the Islanders in the standings. Despite losing yesterday 2-1 to New Jersey, the Penguins got a boost when their No. 1 pick from the 2004 NHL Entry Draft, Malkin, made his NHL debut. He scored the lone goal for the Penguins who have lost two in a row.

These teams met eight times in the regular season last year with the Islanders earning 12 points to the Penguins' nine. All four wins by the Islanders were won in a shootout. The Islanders hold an 84-72-23-4 advantage in the all-time series.

You can catch the action on Bloomberg 1130 with Chris King and Steve Mears. Jiggs McDonald and Billy Jaffe have the call on FSNY.

Game Notes:

DUNHAM ON TOP OF HIS GAME
It didn't matter to Mike Dunham that he came to training camp on a tryout. And now he's showing the league that he can still make a difference in the crease. Dunham currently leads the league with a .953 save percentage and is fourth with a 1.72 goals against average. He has appeared in four games and has a 2-0-1 record in three starts.

SILLINGER SCORES 200TH CAREER GOAL
Mike Sillinger scored his 200th career NHL goal on Oct. 16 versus the Nashville Predators. With his 200 goals and 263 assists, he has now amassed 463 points in 914 games over his 16-season NHL career. Sillinger scored his first career NHL goal on Oct. 25, 1992 against Chicago against Jimmy Waite.

IRONMAN SATAN
Islanders' sniper Miroslav Satan has increased his consecutive games played streak to 238 games. In 2003-04, Satan was one of three Islanders to play in all 82 games and has now appeared in every game over the last two seasons and the last 68 in 2002-03 (2002-03 to 2003-04 with the Buffalo Sabres).

Satan's current streak, however, has seen its share of adversity this season. The sniper almost missed the Islanders' March 2, 2006 game vs. New Jersey because of the birth of his first child. He was in Buffalo the night before and bad weather almost kept him grounded. Before his current streak, Satan played in 256 games (which at the time was the fourth longest active streak in NHL) before missing three games with an injury.

DECIDED BY THE SHOOTOUT
The Islanders have participated in two shootouts and have a 1-1record. Viktor Kozlov and Mike York each have converted with York leading the team with one determining goal. Mike Dunham has the lone victory in net for the Islanders.

Shootout Highlights
- In the team's first shootout of the season, Mike York scored in the sixth round to put the Islanders over the Anaheim Ducks for a final score of 5-4 on Oct. 11. Viktor Kozlov also scored for the Islanders, while Mike Dunham turned away five of six Ducks shooters.

- Steve Sullivan and Paul Kariya scored for Nashville as the Predators defeated the Islanders 2-1 on Oct. 16.
