Isles reporter Greg Logan's Blog on newsday.com

Newsday's Islanders beat reporter Greg Logan now has a blog on newsday.com that is a must-read for Islanders fans anywhere. The blog provides the veteran Newsday writer with unlimited cyberspace to share his opinions or news that his paper didn't have the room for.

In his blog entry posted on Tuesday, "Bridgeport is Where You Build," Logan explains why the Islanders have chosen to keep most of their young prospects in the American Hockey League and play veterans such as Eric Boguniecki instead. In past bloggings, Logan has discussed how the Islanders' rising attendance is linked to their recent winning ways, profiled Arron Asham's fighting spirit and analyzed Rick DiPietro's landmark contract. The reporter's insights are frank, often entertaining and arguably the best writing found on the Islanders these days.

So even though we won't always agree with him, we thought we should spread the word. To find Greg Logan's blog, go to http://weblogs.newsday.com/sports/hockey/islanders/blog/
