New York Islanders
After they finished sending their message to the children at La Francis Hardiman Elementary in Wyandanch, Steve Webb, Monica the Ice Girl, and Sparky were not done. Instead, they drove down to Bay Shore to visit all their friends at Gardiner Manor School to teach them the importance of teamwork as well. Over the course of two assemblies, the 3rd, 4th, and 5th graders all heard Steve speak about how important it is to be a positive teammate and help others in order to succeed at life. With help from a great video provided by ITV, Steve showed how the current Islanders come together as a team from all over the world in order to achieve success in each game that they play. The kids were full of energy and loved the program. It was great fun for everyone at the school and each child walked away with a great Islanders gift bag!
