The I.C.E. Tour had a very busy weekend, making stops at 7 different events from Friday to Sunday. The weekend kicked off after school on Friday, when the I.C.E. Tour made its way up Sea Cliff Elementary to be a part of their Back to School Carnival. Sparky and a few of the Ice Girls were also on hand as well as all the interactive inflatables to add to the carnival atmosphere. All the youngsters had a great time at the Islanders portion of the carnival and were able to walk away with some great Islanders prizes courtesy of the prize wheel.

Saturday was a very busy day for the I.C.E. Tour, making stops at four different events! The first event of the day was the Tomorrow's Hope Laps for Learning bike-a-thon. The bike-a-thon took place in Cedar Creek Park in Seaford, as over 300 participants showed up with their bicycles to do laps around the park. Aside from biking, there were prizes, music, food, and of course, lots of fun provided by Sparky, the Ice Girls, and all of the I.C.E. Tour's interactive inflatables.

From the Tomorrow's Hope event, the I.C.E. Tour then headed up north to the Source Mall in Westbury to be a part of Kidget's Sports Day. The event took place right next to the carousel in the lower lobby of the mall. Tons of very young athletes were on hand to get their first taste in a wide array of sports. The I.C.E. Tour had the slap shot booth and Sparky on site to help get the children acclimated with hockey. They were thrilled to meet Sparky, learn how to shoot a puck, and win some great Islanders prizes.

Sparky's Saturday also included a stop in Belmont Lake State Park where he was a part of the annual Hydrocephalus Walk. Sparky met with over 500 walkers who were all taking time out of their weekend morning to help raise money for an important cause. The Ice Girls did not rest on Saturday either. On top of being at the Tomorrow's Hope event as well as the Kidget's Sports Day, several of the girls made their way to the Queens Long Island Medical Group event taking place in Hicksville. The girls helped out during the function by helping sell raffle tickets as well as taking pictures with many of their fans.

On Sunday morning, not even the heavy rain would prove to be enough to slow down the I.C.E. Tour. The Islanders SUV traveled into lower Manhattan to be a part of this year's annual Stephen Siller Tunnels to Tower Run. The run retraces the footsteps of on of New York's bravest, Stephen Siller, a fire fighter who although not on duty on 9/11, put on all his gear and ran from the Brooklyn side of the Battery Tunnel to the World Trade Center, where he lost his life trying to help others. The I.C.E. Tour set up on Vesey St. with tons of other vendors, cheering on the runners and helping provide some of the entertainment for all. Sparky the Dragon and the Ice Girls were also on hand, taking pictures with tons of fans who also battled the elements. It was a great weekend for the I.C.E. Tour.
