Fans can purchase pieces of the netting from John Tavares' first NHL game

Saturday was an amazing night for Islanders’ 2009 first overall draft pick, John Tavares.  He competed in his first career National Hockey League game, recorded an assist, his first point, and scored his first career goal. 

Now you have the chance to take home a piece of that unforgettable night. 

The Islanders retrieved the actual netting on both goals from Tavares’ first game and have taken pieces of the twine, making it available for fans to purchase in a stunning plaque of the Islander center-man. 

There are three plaques available to fans labeled as the silver, gold and platinum packages.  To order, click on the package you’d like to purchase and it will take you to an order form that can be faxed to (516) 501-6850 or mailed to the address below:

SILVER PACKAGE ($91.91): The silver package features a John Tavares printed photo, card and plate collage framed with an authentic piece of game-used net from his first NHL game. 

GOLD PACKAGE ($291.91): The gold package contains a hand-signed 8”x10” photo of John Tavares and an authentic piece of the game used net from his first NHL game presented in a deluxe frame with a laser-etched mat. 

PLATINUM PACKAGE ($369.91): The platinum package features a hand-signed 8”x10” photo of John Tavares, a replica of the official NHL score-sheet and a piece of the game-used net from his first NHL game.  All are presented in a deluxe frame with a laser-etched mat.
