Rick Cinetti’s, father of Anthony, a first year member of the Hockey Academy was thrilled with Moulson’s appearance.
“This program has been so wonderful, my son loves it. And now with Matt Moulson here, taking the time to skate with the kids, it’s just incredible.
Stefano Weber, was excited as well. “Matt Moulson is my favorite player!”
“I had a great time with the kids at the Hockey Academy today,” Moulson said. “Many of the kids out here today are just learning the game and to be a part of the learning experience is special.”
It was a great day for both the kids and parents on Sunday as many took pictures with the 30-goal scorer and received autographs.
The Islanders Hockey Academy provides ice time and equipment for children beginning to play hockey. As a fundraiser, children who participate are asked to sell 25 tickets to select games. The program prides itself on teaching children true sportsmanship and helping them achieve their dreams.
