MOULSON AGREES TO TERMS ON A ONE-YEAR DEAL
Islanders' leading goal-scorer returns for the upcoming season

Moulson, 26, led the Islanders with a career-high 30 goals last season, and finished fourth on the team with a personal-best 48 points. The North York, ON, native was also one of three Islanders to play in all 82 games, also leading the team and ranking 24th in the NHL with five game winning goals.
“Matt is one of our young core of players and we’re excited to have him return this upcoming season,” Islanders General Manager Garth Snow said. “He was an integral part of our lineup last season, playing in all 82 games and hitting the 30-goal plateau for the first time in his career.”
The 6’1, 206 lbs. left wing, has skated in 111 career NHL games with both the Islanders and Los Angeles Kings, totaling 58 points (36 goals, 22 assists). Moulson was the Pittsburgh Penguins’ ninth round selection (263rd overall) in the 2003 NHL Entry Draft. He has also posted 160 points (74 goals, 86 assists) in 188 AHL games, all with the Manchester Monarchs. Moulson made his professional debut with Manchester in the 2006-07 season after his four-year collegiate career at Cornell University.
