WHAT\'S UP WITH THE SOUND TIGERS?
Hamonic Plays Hero… The Sound Tigers had just one game on the schedule this past week following the postponement of Saturday’s game due to President Obama’s visit to the Arena at Harbor Yard. The team looked to earn its first road win of the season in Manchester when they faced the Monarchs on Friday night. The Sound Tigers jumped out to the early lead on rookie David Ullstrom’s third goal of the season late in the first period, and Rob Hisey’s third of the season gave Bridgeport the 2-0 lead heading into the third period. Manchester responded with two tallied in the final period to force overtime, but Travis Hamonic’s shot from the left circle beat Manchester goaltender Jeff Zatkoff 66 seconds into the extra session to give the Sound Tigers a 3-2 overtime victory. Following Friday night’s win, the Sound Tigers
record sits at 3-5-0-0.

Schremp Completes Conditioning Stint… After being assigned to the Sound Tigers on a conditioning stint this past week, forward Rob Schremp was returned to the New York Islanders on Monday. Schremp played a key role in the Sound Tigers win on Friday, assisting on Rob Hisey’s goal as well as starting the play that lead to Hamonic’s game-winner. Schremp had been placed on injured reserve on Oct. 1 following a back injury suffered in a preseason game against the New Jersey
Devils.

Poulin Shines Between Pipes… Rookie goaltender Kevin Poulin has started to make a name for himself with the Sound Tigers fan base. The Montreal, PQ native made pivotal saves in Friday night’s win which earned him third star of the game honors, and Poulin currently holds a 2-1-0 record with a 2.00 goals against average and a .931 save percentage.

Cool Fun 101 This Wednesday…
The Sound Tigers will hold their annual “Cool Fun 101” game this Wednesday morning at 11 a.m. against the Springfield Falcons. “Cool Fun 101” focuses on the educational aspects of hockey, and all students in attendance will receive educational pamphlets as well as get the chance to take part in educational exhibits on the Arena at Harbor Yard concourse.
