Islanders prospect Nino Niederreiter scored two goals and three assists this past week while goaltender Anders Nilsson made 73 saves to help his team to three wins

Prospect Report: Wednesday, March 2, 2011
CASEY CIZIKAS
In the last week, Cizikas recorded one goal and three assists for the Mississauga St. Michael’s Majors of the Ontario Hockey League. His goal (29) and assist (34) totals rank second on the team and combine for the second-highest point totals (63 points). He now has a +41 plus/minus ranking. The Majors continue to maintain the first slot in the OHL Eastern Conference standings with a 44-13-0-2 record.

CALVIN de HAAN
This last week, de Haan notched one goal and one assist for the Oshawa Generals of the OHL. He leads all Generals defensemen in scoring (38 points) and his 35 assists are the second-most on his team. The Generals, who rank fourth in the OHL Eastern Conference, are 34-16-4-5 this season.

JASON GREGOIRE
Gregoire, at the University of North Dakota, had a three-goal weekend. With 31 points (17 goals, 14 assists), the Fighting Souix winger is now tied for the third-most points on his team. His 17 goals are second most on the team. The Fighting Souix are 19-6-1 this season and have clinched the first playoff seed in the Western Collegiate Hockey Association playoffs.

KIRILL KABANOV
This past week, Kabanov played two games for the Lewiston MAINEiacs of the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League, but he did not record a point. He has scored 21 points (8 goals, 13 assists) in 30 games this season. The MAINEiacs are now36-22-1-2, good for second place in the QMJHL TELUS Eastern Division this season.

BLAKE KESSEL
This past week, Kessel earned two assists in two games for the University of New Hampshire Wildcats. The defenseman is fourth on the team in scoring with 24 points (5 goals, 19 assists), but is also the Wildcats defensive scoring leader. The Wildcats continue to maintain their first position in the Hockey East standings with a 17-4-4 record.

ANDERS LEE
Lee, at the University of Notre Dame, scored two goals this past week. His 21 goals this season are the most of all Fighting Irish and his combined point totals (21-19=40) rank him second overall in scoring. With one win and one loss this past week, the Fighting Irish have dropped to second place in the Central Collegiate Hockey Association Conference Standings with an 18-7-3-2 record.

BROCK NELSON
Nelson had two assists this past week. In his freshman season at the University of North Dakota, he has played 33 games. He has recorded 13 points (5 goals, 8 assists) for the Fighting Souix this season. The Fighting Souix are 19-6-1 record this season and have clinched the first playoff seed in the Western Collegiate Hockey Association playoffs.

NINO NIEDERREITER
This past week, Niederreiter scored two goals and three assists for the Portland Winterhawks of the Western Hockey League. His 29 goals are tied for the second-most goals of all Winterhawks players this season and his combined 52 points (23 assists) rank him fifth. That is an outstanding stat since the forward has played at least eight fewer games than everyone ahead of him; he started the 2010-11 season with the New York Islanders and captained Team Switzerland in the World Juniors in December. The Winterhawks rank first in the WHL Western Conference as they’ve posted a 42-17-0-3 record this season.

ANDERS NILSSON
In the last week, Nilsson played three games for Lulea HF of the Sweden Elite League (SEL), earning three wins as he made 73 total saves and just let up six goals. In 27 games for Lulea HF this season (23-20-9), Nilsson has posted a 1.99 goals against average, ranking the goaltender second overall in that category. He has also posted a .914 save percentage (ranking him ninth overall among SEL goaltenders).

KIRILL PETROV
Petrov recorded career-highs in points (19), goals (8) and assists (11) this season, helping the Khanty-Mansiysk Yugra post a 28-17-9 record during the regular season. Now, in the first round of Kontinental Hockey League playoffs, the Yugra have played four games this past week against the Metallurg Magnitogorsk, winning two and losing two. Petrov recorded one goal. In order to continue in the playoff race, the Yugra will try to defeat the Magnitogorsk in the best-of-seven series.

COREY TRIVINO
Trivino, had one goal and one assist this past week for the Boston University Terriers this past week. The 20-year-old junior has played in 32 games for the Terriers this season and has recorded 22 points (7 goals, 15 assists), tying him at fourth among all Terriers in scoring. With one win and one overtime loss this last week, the Terriers now rank third in the Hockey East standings with a 14-5-6 record.
