Gillies Suspended Ten Games
Forward sits for hit on Clutterbuck

The National Hockey League announced today that Islanders forward Trevor Gillies has been assessed a ten-game suspension for his hit on Minnesota Wild forward Cal Clutterbuck in the second period of Wednesday’s game. Gillies was assessed a five-minute penalty on the play for checking from behind and a game misconduct.
Gillies will be eligible to return on March 26 when the Islanders take on the Philadelphia Flyers at 7 p.m. at the Nassau Veterans Memorial Coliseum.
