Islanders Agree to Terms on Entry Level Contract with Nilsson
Swedish net-minder signs three-year entry level contract

The New York Islanders have agreed to terms with goaltender Anders Nilsson on a three-year entry-level contract.
The Lulea, Sweden native played a total of 60 games over the last four seasons in the Swedish Elite League with Lulea HF. Last year, the 6’5”, 220 lb. net-minder had his best season, posting a .918 save percentage and a 1.92 goals against average in 31 games.
Nilsson, the Islanders third round selection (62nd overall) in the 2009 National Hockey League Entry Draft, represented Team Sweden at the World Junior Championships in 2009 winning bronze. He also was a member of Team Sweden’s silver medal winning club at the 2011 World Championships in Slovakia.
