Isles Scout Mario Saraceno
On Phillip Danault - Danault was captain of his team in Victoriaville. He plays a fast and intense two-way game. He’s still frail and not yet very strong, but he rarely shies away from traffic and is an effective overall checker. He shows good leadership qualities, but has average offensive upside and potential.

On Fredrik Claesson - Claesson is a steady two-way defenseman. He’s a mobile player who gives accurate and crisp breakout passes.

Quebec Major Junior Hockey League
Victoriaville Tigres
If the Islanders select Phillip Danault, he will be the second player drafted by the franchise who played junior hockey for the Victoriaville Tigres. Kevin Poulin was selected by the Isles 126th overall in the 2008 NHL Entry Draft.
Poulin began his professional career this past season, dressing in 15 games for the Bridgeport Sound Tigers. He then broke into the NHL with his first career call-up on Jan. 4 (leading all BST goalies in wins (10), GAA (2.13), SV% (.931) and shutouts (2).
Two days later, Poulin made an unexpected NHL debut, winning the game after playing 53:43 of relief action. The goaltender also earned a win in his first NHL start, but a month later suffered a season-ending knee injury, which required surgery.
He will attend Islanders Training Camp this fall.
