NCAA - Hockey East
Northeastern University Huskies

The Northeastern University Huskies play in NCAA Division I as a member of Hockey East, in which the team was a founding member in 1984. The team won the Hockey East Championship in 1988 and had its best season in 1982, making it to the Frozen Four and finishing in third place.

If drafted by the Islanders, Jamieson Oleksiak would be the first Northeastern player selected by the franchise in the Entry Draft. One other Islanders draft pick, Will Averil (1987, 244th overall), would go on to play for the Huskies, al
though he was drafted out of high school. Chris Foy (8th overall) was drafted by the Islanders in the 1992 Supplemental Draft.
