TRANSACTIONS: Selected by the Islanders in the sixth round (175th overall) of the 2008 National Hockey League Entry Draft.

LAST SEASON: Established career highs in goals (19), assists (11) and points (30) in 51 American Hockey League games during his second season with the Bridgeport Sound Tigers…Also appeared in the first eight NHL games of his career with the Islanders, recording one assist…With Bridgeport, had five multi-point games…Recorded a four-game goal-scoring streak from Jan. 22–29…Recalled from Bridgeport on Feb. 28 and made his NHL debut at Washington…Recorded his first career point/assist on Mar. 11 vs. Boston…Returned on loan to Bridgeport on Mar. 16.

CAREER: 2009-10: Scored 14 points (6g/8a) in 67 games as a rookie with Bridgeport (AHL)...Finished third on the team with 169 shots.

JUNIORS:  2008-09: Led Sarnia in goals (45), assists (48) and points (93) in 63 games during his fifth Ontario Hockey League season...Established a career high in goals and matched his career high in points...Posted a team-best +14 rating and led the club with four shorthanded goals...Appeared in 5 post-season games, tallying three assists....Made his professional debut with Bridgeport in the first round of the Calder Cup Playoffs, appearing in three postseason games and scoring one goal with four penalty minutes.

2007-2008: Ranked second on the Sarnia Sting in goals (39), first in assists (54) and second in points (93) during his fourth Ontario Hockey League season...Finished second on Sarnia with a +12 rating...Tied for the team lead with five short-handed goals and ranked second with 19 power-play goals...Recorded three hat tricks, including two back-to-back on Jan. 13 and 18...Finished the season with points in eight straight games (6g/14a)...Added 10 points (3g/7a) in nine playoff games.

2006-2007: In his third OHL season and first with Sarnia, led the team with a +21 rating...Finished sixth on the team with 63 points (28g/35a).

2005-2006: Played in 61 games with the Toronto St. Michael’s Majors of the OHL, tallying 30 points (17g/13a)...Ranked fifth on the team in goals and third on the team in shorthanded strikes (2).

2004-2005: In his rookie season with Toronto, played in 64 regular season games, netting nine points (3g/6a)...Also made his OHL postseason debut, going scoreless in nine games.
