The New York Islanders announced today the schedule for their 2011 Training Camp held at Islanders Iceworks in Syosset and at the Nassau Veterans Memorial Coliseum. The Rookies first on-ice session is Saturday, Sept. 10, while the full team will begin on-ice sessions on Saturday, Sept. 17.  Camp will run through Wednesday, Oct. 5. 

Rookie Camp will feature two games between the Islanders Rookies and the Boston Bruins Rookies on Monday, Sept. 12 and Tuesday, Sept. 13. Both games will take place at the Nassau Coliseum at 7 p.m., with only the second game open to the public. Season ticket holders will have free admission to the Tuesday, Sept. 13 game and the general public will have a $10 donation cost for admission.  The money raised will go towards the Islanders Children’s Foundation.  A full roster for the Islanders 2011 Rookie Camp is below.

Beginning Saturday, Sept. 17, the full training camp roster will split into two squads and on-ice sessions will take place between 10 a.m. – 2 p.m.

The 2011 preseason schedule will see the Islanders play five games in five different cities, with the club’s only home game at the Nassau Coliseum coming on Saturday, Sept. 24 at 7 p.m. against the New Jersey Devils.
