Islanders vs. Bruins Rookie Game Tickets on sale
Proceeds from Sept. 13 match-up with Boston to benefit Islanders Children’s Foundation

The New York Islanders announced today that tickets for their preseason Rookie Game against the Boston Bruins on Tuesday, Sept. 13 at Nassau Veterans Memorial Coliseum will go on sale Monday, Aug. 29 at 10 a.m. Tickets cost $10 each with all of the proceeds benefiting the Islanders Children’s Foundation. Islanders season ticket holders will receive free admission to the contest. The annual Rookie Game gives fans a glimpse of the Islanders future stars as they prepare to make the Islanders roster. This year’s contest features three Islanders first-round NHL Entry Draft selections in Calvin de Haan (12th overall in 2009), Nino Niederreiter (5th overall in 2010) and Ryan Strome (5th overall in 2011). Also set to take the ice against the Bruins prospects are top scorers from the Islanders American Hockey League affiliate Bridgeport Sound Tigers last season, Rhett Rakhshani, David Ullstrom and Justin DiBenedetto.
