Happy Anniversary
22 years ago Saturday (3-17-90): Brent Sutter scored three goals as the Islanders broke a 14-game winless streak with a 6-3 win over the Rangers at the Coliseum.
All-time, the Isles are 7-8-2 on this date, despite not hosting a St. Pat’s game since that 1990 win over the Rangers.
On The Farm
The Sound Tigers are 32-22-3-5 overall, but are 0-3-0-2 in their last five. Bridgeport has 72 points, two points behind Connecticut for the division lead. The Sound Tigers still hold a game in hand. Bridgeport lost to Connecticut on Friday and Portland on Saturday. They visit Worcester on Sunday.

The Islanders look to avoid a sweep of the season series when they visit Toronto on Tuesday. The Leafs have beaten the Islanders three times this season (once in overtime), including a home-and-home series leading into the All-Star break.
