Those who spend a minimum of $75 at the Team Store from June 11 through June 15 will receive a free gift while quantities last. There will be a choice of a special edition embroidered 40th Anniversary patch or a puck signed by a member of the 2011-2012 Islanders team.

Is dad a golfer? Whether his swing could use some work or he can drive the ball 250 yards, he’ll look good on the green with a New York Islanders golf polo, visor or putter engraved with the team logo.

“Hockey and golf have a long established relationship,” Islanders Director of Retail Operations, Terry Goldstein said. “Many professional hockey players spend their off-season playing golf. Now fans can show their Islanders pride while playing a round of golf with friends or co-workers.”

For dads who prefer to stay away from the golf course, why not stick to the classics? With a wide variety of hats and t-shirts in different colors and styles, there is sure to be one that fits dad’s personality.

“Our player t-shirts with the team logo on the front and players’ name and number on the back are a fan favorite,” Goldstein said. “If you know your dads favorite Islanders player then this is the ideal gift because it’s a bit more personal.”

For fathers who grew up as Islanders fans, there are mini retirement banners for their old favorites like Mike Bossy, Bryan Trottier and Billy Smith, replicating those that hang from the rafters at Nassau Coliseum. There are also framed photographs, some autographed, of historical and memorable moments from past Islanders seasons dating up to the most recent 2011-12 season available for purchase.
