Islanders Individual Tickets to go on Sale

EXCLUSIVE Season ticket holder presale begins August 10; Social media presale opens August 13; Ticketmaster and Coliseum Connection subscribers on August 15 and general public on sale August 16

The New York Islanders announced today that individual game tickets for the first half of the 2012-13 season will go on sale to the general public Thursday, Aug. 16. All fans will have the chance to purchase individual game tickets starting at 9:30 a.m. at the Nassau Coliseum Box Office, Islanders Iceworks and at all Ticketmaster outlets.

Islanders season ticket holders will have the opportunity to purchase single-game tickets at exclusive subscriber pricing, starting Friday, Aug. 10 at 9:30 a.m. Season ticket holders will receive ordering instructions for this special presale.

The Islanders are also offering fans new ways to purchase individual game tickets before they go on sale to the general public. On Monday, Aug. 13, any fan that likes the Islanders on Facebook and/or follows the team on Twitter will receive access to a ticketmaster.com link for the individual game ticket presale. If you have not already liked the Islanders team page on Facebook and/or followed the team’s Twitter page, visit facebook.com/newyorkislanders and twitter.com/nyislanders.

Anyone who subscribes to the Coliseum Connection newsletter and/or receives Ticketmaster.com email alerts will also receive a promotional link to purchase tickets on Wednesday, Aug. 15 at 9:30 a.m.

The 2012-13 home opener is Saturday, Oct. 13 when John Tavares and the Islanders take on the Philadelphia Flyers at 7 p.m. On Tuesday, Nov. 13, the Islanders will host their first meeting of the season with the New York Rangers. The Islanders will also host their cross-town rivals in the second half of the season on Tuesday, Jan. 15 and Thursday, Mar. 7. The Eastern Conference Champion New Jersey Devils will play three total games at Nassau Coliseum this season, with two taking place in the first half on Saturday, Nov. 17 and Wednesday, Dec. 26.

Sidney Crosby and the Penguins will make their way to Nassau Coliseum during the first half of the season on Saturday, Dec. 22 and a matinee start (1 p.m.) Saturday, Dec. 29. In addition to taking on Philadelphia on Opening Night, the Islanders will host Claude Giroux and the Flyers on Thursday, Nov. 29 and a matinee faceoff (1 p.m.) on Saturday, Dec. 8.

The Nassau Coliseum Box Office general hours are from 9:30 a.m. through 4:45 p.m., Monday – Friday.
