Grand opening of Cantiague Park Pro Shop at 11:30 a.m., public skate with Sparky and Ice Girls at 1 p.m.

The Islanders are celebrating the Grand Opening of the Pro Shop at Cantiague Park in Hicksville on Saturday, Sep. 8 at 11:30 a.m.

Following the ribbon cutting ceremony, Islanders forward Michael Grabner will host an on-ice clinic with two local youth teams and sign autographs for the first 150 fans. In addition, one of Grabner's game-worn jerseys will be auctioned off at the event.

From 1:00-3:00 p.m., fans will have the opportunity to join the Ice Girls and Islanders mascot Sparky during the public skate session.
