Pedan powers Storm
The Guelph Storm (Ontario Hockey League) won all three of its games last week, thanks to defenseman Andrey Pedan’s six points (two goals, four assists). The Kaunas, LTU native scored a goal in Guelph’s 6-4 win over Sarnia on Oct. 19, added two assists in an 8-5 victory the next night at Saginaw, and finished with three points (one goal, two assists) in the Storm’s 7-1 triumph on Oct. 21 at Sault Ste. Marie. Pedan ranks second among team defensemen with 10 points and third in the OHL with 40 penalty minutes in 12 games.
Strome and Theoret team up again
Forwards Ryan Strome and Mitchell Theoret teamed up again to lead the Niagara IceDogs (Ontario Hockey League) to a pair of wins last week. Theoret also earned the primary helper on the overtime game-winner. Strome is tied for eighth in the OHL with 17 points in 13 games, three points off the league lead.
