Strome fuels Niagara comeback
Center Ryan Strome led the Niagara IceDogs (Ontario Hockey League) to a pair of wins last week, starting with a three-point performance (two goals, one assist) against the Belleville Bulls on Friday, Nov. 23. The following night against the Sudbury Wolves, the IceDogs trailed 5-1 with less than six minutes remaining, but the Mississauga, ON native assisted on four straight goals, including two in the final 28 seconds to force overtime. He, then scored the game-deciding goal in the shootout to cap off the comeback. Strome added an assist in a losing effort Sunday, Nov. 25 at the Oshawa Generals, to extend his point streak to 11 games (eight goals, 22 assists). The Islanders first round pick in the 2011 NHL Draft leads the OHL with 34 assists and 51 points in 27 games.

Pedan launches Guelph on three-game win streak
Defenseman Andrey Pedan recorded a pair of multiple-point games last week, helping the high-powered Guelph Storm (Ontario Hockey League) to three consecutive wins.
