10:44: Islanders just had a flurry of chances following a friendly bounce off the boards behind Brodeur. Tavares had the best crack at it but the game remains scoreless.

14:01: Devils take a 1-0 lead. Kovalchuk and Zajac entered the zone on a 2-on-1. Kovalchuk passed it from the left wing boards through a defender for a Zajac one-timer.

17:04: Mark Fayne's slap shot from the right point hits the post and goes into the netting behind Nabokov. Still 1-0 NJD
