The Islanders went 2-2-0 against the Lightning last season, with the home team winning each contest. The Islanders won both meetings at Nassau Coliseum by a score of 5-1. Lightning player to watch
Steven Stamkos - Center
The Lightning sniper has three straight seasons with 90 points, and has finished in the top-two in goal scoring each of the past three seasons. Stamkos became the first player in four years to eclipse the 60-goal mark on the final day of last season. The Markham, ON native picked up two assists in the Tampa Bay's season-opening 6-3 win against Washington Saturday.
