Live Updates - Islanders at Jets

8:00 p.m. - MTS Centre - Winnipeg, MB

1st Period
2:34: David Ullstrom scores to give the Islanders a 1-0 lead. Ullstrom forced a turnover in the neutral zone, and along with Keith Aucoin had a 2-on-1 in the Winnipeg zone. Ullstrom picked the corner with a wrist shot.

9:44: Islanders just killed a penalty. That's the second of the night already. Still a perfect 15-for-15 on the year.

10:15: Alexei Ponikarovsky scores to tie it at 1-1. Kyle Wellwood made a backhand pass from the right wing after wrapping around the goal. Ponikarovsky deflected it from the slot for his first of the season.

19:52: Islanders are going to have to kill a third penalty. Matt Carkner whistled after checking Evander Kane into the boards.

End 1st: NYI 1 WPG 1. Shots: NYI 6 WPG 12.

2nd Period
1:52: Make it 16-for-16 on the penalty kill.

2:36: Nabokov just stymied Alex Burmistrov from point-blank range on a deflection in the slot. Nabokov has been good tonight.

5:13: Jets make it 2-1 on a bang-bang play. Starting behind the goal line, Andrew Ladd to Nik Antropov to Bryan Little in the slot.

End 2nd: WPG 2 NYI 1. Shots: NYI 15 WPG 23.

3rd Period:
0:22: Game is tied at 2-2. Kyle Okposo made a great pass through the defense in the neutral zone. Tavares took advantage of Tobias Enstrom losing his footing and wristed the puck past Montoya.

5:09: Matt Moulson makes it 3-2 Islanders. Following an extended attack in the Jets zone, Tavares wristed a low shot from the top of the zone. Moulson deflected the puck in the high slot and it bounced past Montoya. Third of the year for Moulson.

9:20: Islanders going on the power play with a chance to put some space between the teams. Islanders have controlled most of the play in the third period.

9:53: Streit winds up from the right point on a one-timer. Reasonable chance the puck hit a defenseman, Brad Boyes and/or Montoya on its way to the back of the net. 4-2 Islanders.

12:15: Jets are going back to the power play. Ullstrom for hooking. Winnipeg is 0-for-3 today with zero shots.

12:59: Dustin Byfuglien winds up from the left point and cuts it to 4-3. Blake Wheeler gets the primary assist. Puck went in off the post through traffic. First power play goal allowed by the Islanders in 17 opportunities this season.

14:04: Alex Burmistrov scores on a wrister from the right circle, making it 4-4. As he skated through the zone, Tavares and Moulson collided, creating a lot of open space. Nabokov got a piece of it on the way in.

18:03: Ullstrom just tried a wraparound, but Montoya was equal to it.

End 3rd: We have overtime for the first time this year. One standings point guaranteed. Shots: NYI 24 WPG 32.

Overtime
0:17: Okposo cranks one from the left side, but Montoya gloves it.

1:07: Great rush by Blake Wheeler the other way and a solid chance on the forehand, but, Nabokov keeps the game alive.
