Penguins player to watch
Sidney Crosby - Center
Despite only playing in 22 games last season, Crosby still scored 37 points (eight goals, 29 assists). Had he played at that pace for a full 82 games, Crosby would have tallied close to 140 points. The Islanders went 2-1-0 in the three games they played with Crosby in the lineup. The 25-year-old is off to another strong start with five points in five games (three goals, two assists).

Quote of the Day
“A lot of stuff has to do with timing, and sometimes the timing is just not right. They did a good job with getting defensemen and guys that are definitely capable. There was just no room. I’m thankful for the time I spent there, but it’s in the past. I’m not looking back at that.”

-Defenseman Thomas Hickey, who made his NHL debut Sunday, on his time with the Kings organization
