IceDogs on Fire
With five points each, Ryan Strome and Jesse Graham of the Niagara IceDogs (Ontario Hockey League) both filled the scoresheet this weekend as the club went 2-1-0. Strome, the 2011 fifth overall pick, tallied four goals and added an assist, while 2012 pick Graham (6th round, 155th overall) secured five helpers. Strome’s 1.8 points per game ranks second in the OHL this season.

Andrey Pedan Shines for the Storm
A three-assist night for Andrey Pedan helped the Guelph Storm (Ontario Hockey League) defeat the Windsor Spitfires 6-3 on Sunday, February 3. Pedan extended his scoring lead among Storm defensemen with his 31st, 32nd and 33rd points of the year. It was the third time the 6’4, 204-pound defenseman tallied three points in a game in his three-year OHL career.

Adam Pelech (Erie Otters/OHL) scored two goals against Kitchener on February 3…Ville Pokka of Karpat (SM-Liiga) scored in a win against Jokerit on February 2…Mikko Koskinen of KalPa (SM-Liiga) posted a 29-save shutout against HPK Hämeenlinna on February 1.
