Live Updates - Islanders at Senators

7:30 p.m. - Scotiabank Place - Ottawa, ON

A few changes to the lines. Bailey-Nielsen-Aucoin will be one unit, and Grabner-Reasoner-Okposo will skate together. Boulton and Ullstrom are scratched. Thomas Hickey in for Brian Strait, who is out with an ankle injury.

1st Period
0:00: Senators wearing their alternates. DiPietro making his first start against the Senators since Jan. 29, 2008.

7:40: Islanders just had an extended attack from the fourth line. Matt Martin had the best opportunity off a great pass from Mark Streit, but the shot was off target.

9:14: Great forechecking by Michael Grabner, forces a giveaway and then a penalty on Erik Condra. Islanders going to the power play.

11:14: Good movement by the Isles, but nothing got in the net. Still scoreless. Shots: NYI 5 OTT 3

18:40: Josh Bailey takes a feed from Keith Aucoin and backhands it off the crossbar. Still 0-0.

End 1st: NYI 0 OTT 0. Shots: NYI 8 OTT 7.

2nd Period
3:39: Looked like Lubomir Visnovsky may have scored, but on replay, the puck caught the blade of Anderson's skate as he was shifting forward.

5:05: Zack Smith hit the post over DiPietro's shoulder from the left circle, and the puck goes out of play.

6:01: The Senators score 24 seconds into a power play. Colin Greening 's goal. Pressure down low, and the Islanders couldn't clear the rebounds. Senators lead 1-0.

8:37: Andre Benoit scores his first NHL goal on a one-timed slap shot from the point. Jakob Silfverberg with the primary assist. 2-0 Ottawa.

11:24: Tavares gets hooked and draws a penalty. Isles going back to the man advantage.

12:04: Craig Anderson just robbed John Tavares from point blank on a feed from Matt Moulson.

13:24: Still no luck on the Isles power play. 2-0 Ottawa.

14:40: Another penalty for the Senators. 5-on-4 time again.

16:45: Back at even strength, as Frans Nielsen's shot is deflected out of play

18:34: Brad Boyes off for holding. Power play upcoming for Ottawa.

End 2nd: OTT 2 NYI 0. Shots: NYI 25 OTT 15

3rd Period
2:44: Travis Hamonic scores, and it's a game again - 2-1. Lots of offensive zone pressure. 2nd of the season for Hamonic. Really nice behind-the-back pass from Marty Reasoner. Kyle Okposo gets the secondary assist after some strong play in the corner.

4:39: Islanders heading to another power play, as Eric Gryba skates off for holding.

6:26: Brad Boyes and Matt Moulson with back-to-back shots from in close, but Anderson has the answer. Still 2-1.

11:52: Thomas Hickey heads to the box. Senators are 1-for-2 on the power play, and the Isles need them to be 1-for-3.

13:27: Patrick Wiercioch's shot was deflected by Kyle Turris off the inside of the post, and across the crease just in front of the goal line. Still 2-1, but that was close.

17:25: Dave Dziurzynski scores off a rebound to make it 3-1. Zack Smith's initial shot flopped out of the glove of DiPietro, who was unable to clear the puck to the corner. First of Dziurzynski's career.
