Season series (1-1-0)
The Islanders have split the season series against the Flyers, with the road team earning the win in both occasions. On March 28 at Philadelphia, the Islanders fell behind 2-0 but rallied thanks to Colin McDonald's first career two-goal game and a tally from John Tavares. The Flyers scored in the final minute to force overtime, but Brad Boyes and Josh Bailey scored in the shootout, and Evgeni Nabokov turned aside three-of-four attempts at the other end to secure the extra standings point. The teams will meet once more on April 25 at Philadelphia.
